Friday Scrap Night

I got the chance to scrap a few cards on Friday night. We had a good time at the crop creating new things and catching up on life. Thanks Mackenzie and Jessica for a fun night! I'm already looking forward to the next crop night! =)

Happy Birthday card that I'm going to try and not give away for awhile!

Jackson is 5...

Hello all. I'm back. I know I haven't posted since December. Bad me! Anyhow, January flew by and it's already February. How did that happened?!? Today I went to my "adopted" nephew's 5th birthday party. I really can't believe he is already 5. Time does fly! My friend Mackenzie, his mom, did such a great job creating a Super Mario Bros. themed party. It was cute. Anyhow, I made him this Rock on card because he is into Rock Band, etc. I had lots of fun making this one. It is simple, yet very different than anything else I've made. Here it is...

Well... I hope all is well out there with everyone.
Have a great weekend! =)

Christmastime at Disneyland

A few weeks ago, I went back to Disneyland to check out the Christmas decorations after dark. It was beautiful and these pictures don't do it justice.

The Christmas Tree (part of the lights were out though)

My favorite picture...The Castle all lit up.

The Entrance to CA Adventure...Golden Gate Bridge

Well, I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I can't believe that there are only 3 days left of 2008. The years seem to go faster and faster as I get older. Bring on 2009!!! =)

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone. I can't believe that it is already Christmas night. Wow. Where did this month go? It was a busy one. Although, it seemed like I waited until the last minute to do everything this year. But eventually, all of the decorations were up and the presents were purchased and wrapped and opened. Anyhow, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I'll leave you with a few cards that I made this year. My goal was to hand-make all of my cards, but I only got around to making and mailing just a few this year. There's always next year I guess.
Merry Christmas!!!

Snow

Last Thursday morning we woke up to snow covered mountains just behind our house. It was sooooo beautiful outside. These pictures were taken from our bedroom window on the 2nd floor of our house. It was the best view I could get from our house. I regret not jumping in my car and driving closer to the mountains to take pictures.

Here are a few shots from inside looking out...

Color Inspiration #32

Merry & Bright Card...

Here's my submission for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge for the week.

The colors she picked this week were very cheerful...perfect for a new Christmas Card. I liked being able to use snowflakes and my new snowflake ribbon. Not sure yet if I'm going to make all 30 of my Christmas cards this year or not. Anyhow, here it is...

And some detail...

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving with family and friends. =)

More Favorites...

After San Clemente we headed out to Dana Point.

This is the view from the Ocean Institute into the Harbor.

We decided to then take a long hike out to the hidden cave. It was well worth the walk out.

Here's a view from inside the cave looking out towards the west. It looked much better in person. I'm still learning how to use my camera for unique situations like this. Any suggestions?

Another view from inside the cave, but from the larger opening on the north side.

Outside the cave there were a bunch of rocks to sit on, so we relaxed and watched the waves hit the rocks out in front of us. I could've stayed here for hours. =)

Some different shells at the Ocean Institute.

Another boat...

On to Laguna Beach...

We didn't stay long at Laguna, but it was very peaceful there.

And I love this reflection of the sun on the water. We should've stayed for the sunset. There's always next time I guess. =)

I really could live at the beach. I love walking on the sand and the fresh ocean breeze.
There's nothing else like it. =)
